Mrs. Funmilayo Onafowokan –Faculty Director

Mrs. Funmilayo Onafowokan is the Executive Director of Green Olives Private School and Green Olives Vocational Skills Academy Lagos. She is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (FCA) and holds a Bachelors in Business Administration from the University of Ilorin, Nigeria. She worked in PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) from 1986 to 1999 as an Auditor and at The Moorhouse Hotel as the Financial Controller from 2000 to 2013. She also had a two year working experience as a Director of the Pension Support Service Department of Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD) from 2017 to 2019.

Funmilayo has a passion in empowering young people as entrepreneurs so as to become potential future leaders of Nigeria and also worthy citizens of the world at large. To this end she embarked on a Corporate Service Responsibility (CSR) program in June 2016 at her 50th birthday, where she trained 350 people FREE with various vocational skills over a 3 week period. It is in pursuit of this vision that she established Green Olives Vocational Skills Academy in 2019.

Funmilayo has attended numerous courses in Accounting, Management, Human Resource Management, Hospitality, Pension Administration, and Childhood Education amongst others. A significant hallmark of her hospitality experience includes an intensive hospitality training in EcoleHotelier Lausanne, Switzerland on various courses of hotel operations. She is our Hospitality training expert.

Mrs. Funmilayo Onafowokan is a Goldman Sachs scholar having completed the course on “Growing your business with Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women”.
